- Second trail begins at a place called Piscacucho or kilometer 82; from where you hike for 4 days to the lost city of the Incas.
- Third trail, usually starts in a place called Soraypampa; from where you hike first for 3 days until you reach a sector called Paucarcancha. Place from where you officially enter the classic Inca trail; and from where it takes you 3 days to get to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
