Machupicchu, one master piece of the Incas would not be complete without the experience of modern-day Andean people custom, belief, cuisine and way of life.

Day 1. visit sacred valley of the Incas

We pick you up at 7:30 in the morning from you hotel to drive for 1 hour across the gorgeous sacred valley of the Incas, stopping in half of the way to have a chance to admire this stunning valley from one of the most beautiful viewers, by 8:30 am we get in Calca, one of the most traditional villages of this valley, here your tour leader is going to show and explain you about the most remarkable issues and details of the traditional Andean markets, where you see a huge variety of the 3500 sorts of Peruvian potatoes, corn types, endemic fruits such as granadilla, chirimoya, lucuma, pacay, flowers medicinal plants and oils, also you going to see many traditional Andean dishes prepare by local women as well as look many bizarre staff used by Andeans in their cuisine, finally you gonna buy some vegetables, meat and fruits to prepared your own typical dish with the help of one of the most recognized local chef in the Andean cuisine, we drive for 15 minutes to the guinea pig house yard in order to start cooking our “Pachamanca” learn more about ita dish that dates back from 18 000 years ago, by midday let´s enjoy our meal as Andean people do nowadays.

In the afternoon we go to the alfalfa farm to gather it to feedguinea pigs while your tour leader in sharing amazing details about this useful Andean animal with you. 

Right after we drive for 1 hour trough the magical valley with stunning snowcapped mountain views to Ollantaytambo, where is the train station and our dinner spot, along the way we stop in a traditional “chicheria” learn more about itto try the most loved Andean drink and learn about it. 

At 19:00 we board our train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes town where we get by 20:45 pm, we transfer to your hotel to have a nice deserved rest.

Day 2. visit  Machu picchu

At 7 in the morning we catch the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu picchu where your tour leader is gonna show you the most amazing look outs to take much better pics than National Geographic, after it your leader is giving a lesson of 3 hours more or less in the whole Incan city, by 11:30 you leave Machupicchu and catch the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you have lunch (not included) in the afternoon at 15:20 you board the train from Machupicchu to Poroy station (it takes 4 hours) where a transfer is waiting you in order to transfer you back to the door of your hotel in Cusco.
